Romney and Cain Win big in Vegas

Tonight's Vegas debate was the most spirited and most personal of any of the previous debates.  Herman Cain took the early attacks on his 9-9-9 plan and handled the questions with grace and style.  He used a lot of Apples and Oranges to try to differentiate his "Tax" from State sales taxes.  That was wise considering the media and his opponents will try to blur the lines.  He also defended most everything well.  He stumbled a bit on the TARP flip-flop which he acknowledged, and on the negotiating with terrorists I think he handled a bit weakly, but overall a good night on stage.   GINGRICH should stay in the race as long as we have debates.  Newt's doing a great job of trying to keep the bickering from within, he's smart and funny..and he just needs to keep it going!  He's the only one who reminds the group the media wants a fight..don't give it to them!  Speaking of fights Perry clearly was more prepared this time around and was ready to go at Mitt with everything he could muster..this was the first debate where Mitt was the punching bag..and he deflected every punch extremely well. He kept his cool and his smile, but didn't give up his ground.  He's smarter, and more studied, and more savvy than Perry by a mile.  Perry just can't compete in that league and he looked slightly deflated towards the end of the debate. Bachmann worked herself into the discussion as did Santorum..who actually came out looking a bit bullyish, (I know coming from me? Really?).  Paul, I was sorry didn't have time to make his TRILLION dollar case..and I think the viewers were denied a chance to have the others try to either pile-on Paul or to express their support of his plan.

Cain and Romney winners;  Perry I think can stay around, Gingrich and Paul WON'T go away.. Santorum and Bachmann you may return to your corners of the Country..and hey why not run for US Senate in those 2 states??  Minnesota and Pennsylvania BOTH have races next year!

  1. I watched the debate today and once again Paul and Cain beat out the rest. Newt. sounds good but everybody knows he is full of belony. There is another candidate that is really good and is running, his name is Buddy Roemer I believe it is. http://www.buddyroemer.com/. He is a proven leader and can turn this country around. I think when Rush Limbaugh called Romney a liberal which a lot of people are finding out, his campaign is taking a dive. That is why Cain caught up to him so fast which we all knew he would have. Perry is a decent candidate if we had to pick someone out of desperation he would be the best low end conservative rhino. Paul has continued to hold his own and imo lead the pack. We all know he is unelectable but is the best candidate other than Buddy Roemer to fix this country. Ron Paul hit it on the head that we need to cut from everywhere. Also loved when he spoke the truth when he said we have enough weapons to level the rest of the world 25 times over yet they don't even have the capability to hit our own country. Our troops needs to be brought home and put on our borders for defense. There is no better defense that the us marines standing guard putting a bullet into any person who wants to trespass/invade our country illegally. Ron Paul is a firm believer of the constitution and only one that is truly defending it and its true principles.

  3. Thanks Keith for your contribution..Buddy Roemer, Gary Johnson and Pat Paulsen have zero chance of involvement in the Prez race this year and are thus not relevant. The new Pat Paulsen seems to be Ron Paul..the perennial candidate. AS for your points I agree Paul did himself decently well last nite, and his polls numbers will reflect that by not moving in the next week or 2. Straw Polls aren't Primaries or caucus's (Just ask RP and Bachmann, how much effect it has on them). To a similar point on Romney's poll numbers..it's true they held steady for the past 9 months, (He is just slightly below his highest avg. on RCP today). The difference with Romney is everyone is waiting for "Superman" to run as the "not Romney". Now that the field is set, the undecideds and their money is opening and the contributions are beginning to roll in. Romney will be getting the biggest pop from that money. He has been in first or second place the entire year Cain's new plan will prevent him from rising above Mitt..and the Iowa Caucus is only 11 Weeks away from now. The whole thing will prob. be over by Feb 1st.
